Luke Reed did his first Triathlon of the season on Sunday, a Sprint Distance at the Cotswolds water park near Cirencester, writes Dave Mutter.
After a solid winter of training, the AVR athlete made a good start here finishing 19th overall out of 319 and second in his age category.
The event consisted of a 400m open water lake swim followed by a 20k flat bike ride with a 5k multi terrain run to finish.
His split times were; 6:51 for the swim, 30:44 for the bike ride and 17:26 for the run.
That saw him home in an overall time of 57:04. This weekend Luke is competing in the Slateman Triathlon in North Wales, we wish him the best of luck with that one Luke!
