AVR athlete Liam Roberts raced the Telford 10k and was lucky to have good conditions for this time of year, writes Dave Mutter.

With only some mud washed onto the paths by recent rain and a bit of a breeze to deal with, he covered the flat, two lap course in 31:46, a personal best by almost four minutes - his previous best being 35:29, to finish 28th in a national standard field.

Roberts was very pleased with this result and reports that training is going well and he is hopeful of running quicker in the New Year.
