AVR Carter so cool in Cosdon Beacon run
Some AVR families are keen to get their youngsters involved in running and 8-year-old Darcie Morton is proving to be a fine talent, writes Dave Mutter.
She not only took part in the Tipton 1.5-mile Fun Run, but won the under 10 girls race – a super effort.
Tim Lenton, James Jackson and Robin Carter with Ben the dog headed to Belstone on Dartmoor to do the Cosdon Beacon fell race put on by Okehampton Running Club.
This is a stiff rough uphill of 315 metres and back all in 5.2 km.
It was a great little race and part of Belstone village fair.
