AVR duo Diane and Graham ran the Treggy 7, a fast seven-mile road race, writes Dave Mutter.
The runners set off from Launceston Town Square to the sound of a lone piper playing the bagpipes from the ruins of the ancient castle.
The route was fairly flattish except for a one mile steep ascent up to the village of Tregadillett before finishing in the grounds of Launceston Castle.
Graham was pleased to finish 82nd taking the over 65 male vet prize in 50:02.
Diane also had a very good run coming in 312th in 1:11:42.
