On Saturday morning five AVRs took part in the 10th anniversary Otter Rail and River Run, a 10k multi terrain, part of the Tipton St John playing field’s 50th anniversary fair, writes Dave Mutter.
The event was opened by BBC presenter Jeremy Vine who later presented the awards to the prize winners.
It was a hot, sunny run and Steven Lewis was the first AVR home, 67th in 54:37 and first M65, followed by Angela Kerr, 78th, 56:08 and first F60.
Chris Hill finished in 111th, 60:05; Yvette Hill, 123rd, 61:32 and Martin Kerr, 168th, 69:06.
Everyone received an engraved half pint glass as a commemorative memento which was filled up with Otter Bitter at the beer tent for those who wished to partake!
