Kelly Stamp had a real difficult time at the off-road Dorset invader marathon, writes Dave Mutter.

All was going well in the sunshine, but then, at the 10-mile point, the heavens opened and, at mile 14, she twisted her already injured knee.

To say things got progressively worse is an understatement!

However, Kelly bravely carried on and hobbled over the line soaking wet and in agony, in a time of six hours and 33 minutes.

She was certainly not the last one home either for she finished 216th out of the 290 that took part in the race.
