The new summer route at Seaton Parkrun includes a beach start and about 30 metres extra pebble running, writes Dave Mutter.
That make sit all the more impressive that, at the latest meeting, no fewer than foru AVRs achieved new PBs.
The quartet with new top times were: Chris Hill, (24:55); Suzy Eul-Brown, (27:30); Diane Newton, (32:25), first W65-69 and Mike Venn, (32:45), first M75-79. First to finish in his first Parkrun was James Green in a time of 17:24.
AVR member Carol Austin was in Brighton so took the opportunity for some Parkrun tourism at Hove Promenade Parkrun.
Carol was pleased to finish sub-23 in 22:58 (78per cent age grade) and first W55-59. David Cooke contested his first proper 400m for 10 years at the Yeovil Olympiads Open, recording 71.20s (V60).
