AVR’s Angela Kerr runs two big races on the same weekend

Angela and Martin Kerr were visiting their home town in Bedfordshire over the weekend and on Saturday morning took part in the Dirt Half Marathon, a challenging, multi-terrain event.

It was a lovely bright and cool morning for running and Angela completed the course in 2:04:29, 432nd out of 770 finishers, and Martin was happy to be 634th in 2:25:01. On Sunday morning, back home in Devon, race number two of the weekend for Angela, off to Drogo for the 10 miler while Martin decided supporting was the more sensible option!

In other AVR news, Harry McMahon won the November junior handicap in 13:47 with Harvey Green finishing second in 12:23 and Jack Pellow was third in 12:37.

Lee Moran won the senior handicap in 21:59 with Carol Austin finishing second in 28:03 and Matt Dominey was third in a time of 24:48. With one race to go in the 2018 series, Andrew Hartnell is leading the seniors on 166 points. Currently occupying the other top spots are Rob Collier, second with 147, and Lee Moran sits third on 143.
