Several AVRs travelled to North Devon for the Barnstaple marathon and half marathon, writes Chris Keeffe.
Susan Hayes finished a splendid 48th in the marathon, recording a new personal best time of 3:41:45.
She was followed home by Simon Davey in 3:42:15, and then came Tim Sibley, 54th, in 3:47:49.
Other AVR positions and times were: Anna McLoughlin, 79th, 4.01.19 and Angela Kerr, 121st and first female vet 55 in 4.29.59.
In terms of the half marathon event, first of the AVRs was Becky Davey who was 265th in a time of 2:14:34. The next home was Amie Sibley in 279th place with her time being 2:16:07. Martin Kerr was 312th in 2:22:56.
