The Axe Cliff ladies’ section Centenary Niblick competition had to be abandoned at the 11th hole due to thick fog and, will be re-arranged for a future re-run, writes Pete Motson.
Last Friday saw the start of the Axe Cliff ladies’ Devon League season and they made a very good start too with a 5-1 win over Teign Valley plus a win for the reserves the total result of which was 10 points for Axe Clif and three for Teign Valley. The match was played in very good spirit and was good fun despite some high winds.
