Playing for the Easter Bowl this month, the main club surpassed all expectations with some amazing medal scores, obviously enjoying and making the most of relatively good conditions, writes Dave Bruce.
The winner was Tristan Wakely with a staggering nett 62.
It was close, both for the runners-up berth and indeed the minor places with countback called into play, and that left bus driver Stuart Mackie, with a nett 64, taking second position from Royal Mail’s own Paul Clode in third place.
Mike Rymer came fourth, but was some four shots behind on a nett 68.
Needless to say, all had handicap cuts. Tristan and Paul had twos on their cards as did Nigel Garwood, Nigel Pritchard and Mike Cottam.
