The Axe Cliff ladies met to contest the Granny Bowls which was run simultaneously with the Non Granny Bowl competition, both played in stableford format, writes Pete Motson.
Helen Kenworthy came in first with a score of 33 and that gave her the Non Granny Bowl.
Second place was determined by countback with Stella Thompson edging Pauline Willis into third spot after both players scored 28 points. Pauline did have the consolation though of winning the Granny Bowl.
