The Axe Cliff ladies held their first medal round of the year last midweek, writes Dave Bruce.
The scoring was close throughout with the eventual winner declared as Sandra Walker with a splendid net 79.
The minor places had to be determined by countback with the ever-reliable Barbara Commings taking second, edging last year’s lady captain Margaret Kenchington after both scored net 80s.
