The Devon County Ladies’ Vets held their annual Killard Trophy and Autumn Foursomes at Axe Cliff and it was most efficiently run by our own Barbara Cummings, who is Devon Vets captain this year, writes Dave Bruce.

A gusty wind made play interesting and it was a team from Saunton, playing for the first time at Axe Cliff, who took the honours with a score of 42 points.

In the Foursomes, home players Sandra Walker and Barbara Cummings came second with 35 points.

In a recent County Prize round it was good to see two of our newest members, Jo Hopgood and Paula Heasman, playing well to take second and third places behind overall winner Jill Wellington, who returned a very good score of 38 points.
