The ladies section played the first of their County Prize matches with the format being stableford, writes Pete Motson.
Despite the sunny weather the scores were not great, but again the 16th hole played a part. There was no eagle on the 16th this time round, but a birdie by Margaret Kenchington for four points, sealed her the victory which was ultimately decided by countback after she and Anne Jarvis both finished rounds with 29 points. In a close contest all-round, 28 points was the score of Sandra Walker in third place.
