The Axe Cliff ladies had to battle a misty start to their latest Winter League meeting and it left many wondering just how far round the course they would get, writes Dave Bruce.
However, the sun hung around just enough to keep the course open and the temperatures bearable!
Gradually the mist cleared and all managed to finish before the heavy showers came in.
Most of the ladies played to the 17th, but only the 15 counted and, at the end of the action, Margaret Kenchington, showing good return of form, was the overall winner with a solid 28 points.
Second place went to Jill Wellington with 27 points and Caroline Bone, who also scored 27, had to settle for third on countback.
