Axe Cliff seniors’ played their Lavarack Stick competition, one that sees only a limited number of clubs allowed, writes Pete Motson.
First place went to 19-handicapper John Mant who returned a score of 40 points.
Second place went to 22-handicapper Adrian Bishop with 37 points and third, with 36, was 20-handicapper Alan Vincent.
On the day there were two twos recorded. One was scored by Phil Christmas and the other by winner John Mant, which does possibly indicate his personal slogan of ‘purity of strike’!
