The Axe Cliff men’s section played their Winter League round five on the final Sunday of January, writes Pete Motson.
The winners, with a score of 50 points, were Paul Clode and Simon Sweetland.
A point behind, and therefore a close second, was the pairing of Paul Curtin and Geoff Greenslade.
There were no fewer than nine twos recorded, with Mark Hubbard and J Farrant each recording a brace, while there were also twos scored by Tony Strong, Geoff Greenslade, Tom Spenser, J Whiting, and S Sweetland.
