Last Monday Minehead Seniors were the visitors to Axe Cliff and sadly for them were at the wrong end of a whitewash, writes Janet Dack.
The result of six-nil compensated Axe Cliff for the recent visit to Long Sutton where the team suffered a similar fate!
The winning Axe Cliff team included John White, Gerry Turner, Mick Tomes, Rob Grove, Nick Povey, Malcolm Reynolds, John Mant, Iain Bain, Bill Polley, Jack Bannister, Stuart Mackie and John Ashbolt.
Once again two club members have performed well in an Open Mixed Greensome, this time at Windwhistle. Margaret Kenchington and Iain Bain scored 41 points equalling another leading visiting team, but on count back had to settle for second visitor place, each winning a putter worth £60.
