Axe Cliff Seve Trophy success for Ward, Donnan and Reed

The Axe Cliff men contested the Seve Trophy recently.

The format was teams of three with two scores to count under stableford rules.

First place went to the threesome of Mark Ward, Matt Donnan and Steve Reed with a score of 75 points.

Second place was bagged by the trio of Steve Berry, Basil Dean and Lloyd Bennett with 74 points.

There were a brace of twos scored by Alan Kenworthy and Pete Northcott.

The May Medal was played on the first Sunday of the month and it resulted in success for Alan Morgan (Division One) with a net 73 whilst in Division Two the honours went to Verdun Trott with a net 66.

There were four twos scored by Stuart Mackie, Simon Matthews, Mike Rymer and Nigel Garwood.
