Players from Axe Cliff have had great success in Spain recently, writes Janet Dack.

Helen (14) and Alan Kenworthy (6) with Christian Vine (Woodbury professional) and Will Godfrey (16) (Stover) entered the Golf Escapes Sotagrande PGA Pro-am in association with the PGA (South Region) tournament at the end of February.

Played in two locations, Torrequebrada and Santana golf courses, in teams of four with the best two scores to count.

The play was Medal format with three-quarter handicap allowance.

After four days of golf in sun, but with a very cold wind, our local four ended up 27 under par to land first place! Many congratulations from all at the club to the team.
