Last Friday was prize giving day for the Axe Cliff seniors with awards handed out to winners of medals, stablefords and other competitions over the past three months, writes Janet Dack.
This was preceded by a 15-hole stableford for the Quarterly Cup.
In the wet conditions only the hardy took part and the eventual winner with 29 points was Leighton Morgan (24).
Two players netted 27 points and second place on countback went to Neil Moorcraft (21) with Rob Heard (14) having to settle for third place.
