The Axe Cliff ladies’ Wooden Spoon is now sporting a pink bow, writes Janet Dack.

This is because the ladies failed to beat the men on what turned out to be a horrendously windy Saturday when the annual Foursomes Competition was played.

The only ladies to beat their men were Helen Kenworthy and Lesley Crawford.
