This week the fine bowlers from Taunton Deane travelled the 23 miles to play at Axminster Bowls Club and went home feeling happy after imposing a four-shot defeat on their hosts.
In a close match where both teams won on two rinks, the final score was 71-67 in favour of the visitors.
Once again, jovial Ken Taylor, who is having a terrific season so far after joining the club in April, led his team of John Ellis and Anne Clayton to a convincing win of 27-9.
At present, the club has a shortage of lady bowlers and would love to offer some taster sessions for any ladies who may be interested in playing this very enjoyable gentle sport. Maybe gather two or three friends together and have a try, give Glen Elliott a bell on 07933 517591 to arrange a time
