Axminster went on to beat St Thomas A (29-22) with both rinks again winning- Chris Coombes,Derek Eldridge, and Bob Sherborne (15-11) and Graham Ayres, Frank Bridge, and Roger Legg (14-11). They finished the season in a commendable fourth position!

The ladies lost their friendly at Lyme Regis (46-87) with Ann Clayton, Gill Gait, and the ' imperturbable' Margaret Crompton the only winners (20-12). Unfortunately, Chardstock could not raise a side for their match but the ladies went on to beat Ilminster at home (61-32) with Phyl Bolwell, Marion Harris, and Margaret Crompton the top rink (23-8).

The friendly mixed results followed their familiar pattern with home wins and away defeats on grass! Losses at Severalls (41-76), Honiton (52-120) and, in a closer game at Ottery, (64-68) where Les Monk, Alan Taylor, and Margaret Crompton (16-15) did well were followed by good home wins over Taunton BC (103-59) where Jean Bruckshaw, Barbara Mowatt, Derek Eldridge, and Margaret Crompton (who else?) excelled and against Severalls (120-55) with Brenda Flanagan, Ken Quick, Pat Hicks, and Sheila Martin (34-10) in top form.

Feniton over-60s triples A team beat Honiton B in a close and thrilling final match of the season 28-32, one rink was tied. The result had no bearing on Feniton's final league position of third in division 3. Captain Richard North was pleased with the team performance.
