Axminster’s golfing ace Sophie Keech has added yet more silverware to her growing collection.

After winning the South West Girls title she was back on the course 24-hours later playing at the Knowl Golf Club in Bristol representing Parkstone Golf Club and Dorset County.

In sizzling temperatures the youngster went around level par in the morning and shooting a two-under in the afternoon.

This left her winning first place and the Katherine Cairns bowl which gave Keech top position for match play.

Over the following two days Keech won all her knockout matches and played in the final against Bethan Popal from Bristol.

It was a great final with solid play from both players impressing spectators from Gloucester and Dorset supporting the girls.

After a tense and close contest Keech was edged into the runners-up berth.

As a Faldo Series winner the youngster received a prestigious invite to a Pro-Am in Buckinghamshire to play with Holly Clyburn and Liz Young who are amongst top world ranking players and the experience has further inspired the outstanding young golfing talent that Sophie Keech most certainly is!
