A superb initiative from Axminster Town Ladies AFC has seen the club launch an appeal to bring a talented young player to the UK to help improve her football and education opportunities.
Omorovbiye Divine Aigbe from Benin City in Nigeria has been playing football since the age of 11 and one of only three girls training at Celestial FC.
She dreams of playing football in the UK but faces the hurdle of limited opportunities for female players and mounting education fees following the recent loss of her father.
Axminster Ladies will be posting a large donation box of football boots, kits, equipment and balls to Omorobiye's community to keep them all playing football
The Tigers also want to assist Omorovbiye in her dream of playing football in the UK and finishing her education.
For anyone able to make a donation, please visit and search for ‘Get Omorovbiye educated & playing football’.
