Jonny Hurford continues to deliver the goods as interim-manager at Axminster Town with the Tigers winning their latest South West Peninsula League outing, beating bottom side Exwick Villa 2-1 in Exeter.
The lively Aaron Daniels volleyed the Tigers into a 24th minute lead.
There was an element of good fortune about the goal that doubled the Town lead when a speculative cross-cum-shot out wide from Jamie Barfoot sailed into the net!
Chris Clarke gave the home side hope, pulling a goal back with 21 minutes to play, but thereafter the Tigers saw the game out in relative comfort to bag a 15th win in 30 league outings this season.
Town have four left to play in the league this season starting with Saturday’s (March 18) trip to table-topping Brixham.
