Axminster Town have been given a great boost with the news that their top scorer this season is set to return to Sector Lane.

Jamie Chamberlain scored ten goals in eight games before a switch to Stoke Gabriel.

However, the move for the Torquay based striker has not worked out and so he is returning to the Tigers and boss Ray Self is delighted.

Self says: “Its great news and areal boost for us. He (Chamberlain) fitted in here very well, settled quickly and became very popular in and out of the dressing room. I think he has been left a little disappointed with how things have turned out at Stoke Gabriel and he will certainly be welcomed back buy us with open arms. I’d hope to have him back in an Axminster shirt for Saturday’s game against Exmouth Town.”
