Thirty-two Honiton members played for the Geoff and Sheila Banks Trophy in the latest Tuesday Mixed event, writes Andy Wagner.

This competition is drawn for playing partners with the format being treble six stableford.

The trophy was presented to the Tuesday Mixed by Geoff in memory of his wife Sheila.

Geoff and Sheila for many years ran this club competition.

The winners this year were Stephanie Barnes and Brian Hoepelman with 38 pointts.

Second were Su Calver and Paul Ritchie with 36 pts on countback with Lesley Oxenham and John Dickinson in third place also with 36 points losing out on countback.

Fourth were Elizabeth Ward and club vice captain Stewart Slater with 35 points.

Members were delighted that Geoff came and presented the winners with his trophy together with the other prizes.

Geoff also brought two boxes of chocolates to have a random card draw for players not in the prizes. These were won by Jan Dickinson and Chris Poole.
