Sixty players braved the cold weather at Honiton to play a Texas Scramble that had been delayed twice due to the weather, writes Andy Wagner.

There were some good scores with the team of Ken Beake, Chris Street, and Mike Kent, taking first place with a score of 64.3.

In second place were Eric Short, Don Stroud, and Malcolm Keeley with 66.0 points winning, on count back.

Third place went to Ted Chandler, Jack Phillips, and David Ive.

Fourth place was taken by John Vessey, Fred Thomas and John Ward with a score of 66.7.

During his address after the games the captain again reminded the players that some had still not paid their seniors membership fee, and urged those who have not done so to ensure they do so in the next two weeks.
