The Honiton Netball League was back in action after the previous week had been washed out, writes Graham Ingram.

The lost week has given the league table a lopsided look with Flamingos having been involved every week, and also winning every week.

This time they comfortably beat Otter Valley by 36-8, so that they hold the top spot whilst Otter Valley and holding up the table in 15th place.

The Flamingo star was young Charlotte Yorke whilst the Vally POM was also a Charlotte, Broom that is.

Biggest climbers of the week were Beer Blazers who recorded their first win of the campaign with a 21-17 victory against Pixies. Beccy Dorma was the Beer star and she helped the Blazers jump from 15th to seventh place.

Jaz Chester turned out for the Pixies and gained their player of the match award. Sidmouth Toucans and Swaggermamas swopped places near the top of the table with Toucans moving up to third thanks to their close win by 26-23.

Anna Rowson stole the show for Sidmouth whilst Hannah Brownlee was the pick of the Mamas. Closest game of the night was between the two Tip Top Trees sides, the Oaks and the Acorns. The game was the closest of the season so far with Phoebe Confrey and the Acorns beating the Oaks by a single goal 19-18.

This meant that Acorns held onto their fourth place whilst Jenny Robinson and the Oaks picked up two points from their defeat to move up to just one place behind them into fifth.
