Honiton ladies section contested the Betty Harris trophy, writes Liz Rogers.

Playing conditions were difficult with no run on the ball with the morning dew.

However, it was very warm and pleasant out on the course.

The runaway winner was Jackie Seager with a score of net 73.

Sue Ritchie won the best gross prize with a score of 93.

Gill Johnson claimed the longest drive on the 18th hole.

The nearest the pin on the second hole for Bronze Division players was won by Stephani Barnes and, on the12th hole for Silver Division players, by lady captain Olwen Eaton.

In the Silver Division, Heather Clarke took first prize with a net 79. Lady captain Olwen Eaton was in second place, also with a net 79 and Jane Watts came in third with a net 80.

In Bronze One Division, Stephani Barnes was first with a net 77, Sharon Dacre second with a net 80 and Dot Grove third with a net 81.

In Bronze Two Division, Jan Lloyd took first place on countback with a net 84 and Sheila Palmer came in second, also with a net 84.

In the 9-hole stableford competition, Jenny Raison was first with 10 points, Babs Knight second on countback with nine points and Christine Whiteley third with nine points.
