With Autumn truly on its way, and dodging the odd heavy shower, the going was a little heavy as the Honiton ladies tackled the stableford and vied for qualification into the next round of the Daily Mail Foursomes, writes Andy Wagner.
The pair who made the grade after count back were Penny Blackburn and Jan Dickinson with 33 points and the now go on to play the second round some time in the New Year.
In second place were Tricia Swindell and Olwen Eaton also on 33 points, followed by Sue Calver and Mona Carter with 31 points.
Fourth place went to Barbara Mullett and Rosemary Whiteley with 29 points on count back from fifth placed Moira Cooper and Janet Baker, also on 29 points.
