To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee an afternoon of fun bowls followed by a street party style tea was held at Honiton Bowling club. During the day, funds were raised in aid of the club’s 2022 Charity, Admiral Nurses Honiton.
The Mixed Friendly Triples match at home against Tiverton ended in a draw (70 - 70). Top rink for Honiton M Granger, L Dommett, G Osborne (24 - 12). In the Men’s County Trophy Match against Sidmouth, two rinks played home (44 - 41) and two away (49 – 30), with Honiton winning overall (93 - 71).
In the Ladies Triples League, Honiton Lacemakers team played Ottery, and just prevailed, winning (29 - 28). Top rink C Armitage, J shepherd, D Morley (15-12)
The Men’s Foxlands match saw Honiton play against Phear Park. The final score was Home (31-15) and Away (12 - 17). Overall score (43 - 32) with Honiton going through to the next round.
