Exmouth 48, Honiton Raptors 7 Honiton Under-11s faced a physically superior side away with great resilience in the coldest weather of the season so far.
The home side dominated for long periods although Honiton defended and tackled well throughout.
The most notable performances in defending came from William Briant and Max Helston, though every player remained positive from first whistle to last.
Honiton struck with a fine try in the second half with Matthew Webb the scorer and Dominic Berhardt slotting the conversion.
The Honiton forwards played particularly well against the fast passing of the Exmouth backs. The Man of the Match award went to Ben Deam for being effective all round the pitch.
