Bass seem to be like buses - you wait a long time to catch one, then they come along in quick succession!

Bass seem to be like buses - you wait a long time to catch one, then they come along in quick succession! That is what happened to Mark Stansell of Honiton.He sent in a picture of the first bass he had ever caught and at 7lb 5oz it wasn't a bad start. It was caught on Tuesday, August 19, at night off Seaton beach after trying week in week out for the past few months. He said: "As they say, 'good things come to those who wait'" and promised to go and try for a bigger one if the Midweek Herald didn't think this one was big enough to feature.Before we had time to go to press - well, just two days later - he caught his second - 9lb 8oz - again from off Seaton, pictured.He happily predicted: "Next time it will be double figures!
