Chardstock bowlers revel in the weather

With the current warm and sunny weather, bowling for everyone has been delightful.

With the current warm and sunny weather, bowling for everyone has been delightful.A Chardstock ladies' team played a two Triples home match against Donyatt. An evenly balanced game on one rink finished 18-18, and the other in favour of Chardstock by 15 shots to 10, an overall win for Chardstock by 33 shots to 28. Chardstock: (skips only): M Sturley drew 18-18, B Sluman won 15-10.In the evening, a Chardstock men's team played a rink home and away match against Feniton, competing in The Foxlands Trophy Knockout Competition. The home rink claimed victory by 18 shots to 15 but, sadly, the away rink could not match Feniton and lost by 19 shots to 23.The combined scores gave victory to Feniton by just one shot. They move on, with best wishes, to the next round of the competition. Chardstock (home): T Bird, J Rolph, P Compton, and N Denslow (skip) won 18-15; Away: P Potter, G Bodily, M Rogers, M Toms (skip) lost 19-23.
