Chardstock skipper Rob Hutchings was the star of the show as his team returned from a visit to Cheriton Fitzpaine with their highest point’s haul of the season.

Hutchings struck a magnificent 143 in a total of 262-6.

The Cherries were 196-8 when stumps were drawn with Jack Larcombe (3-27) and Rob Blackwell (2-36) doing most of the damage with the ball.

The result was the first time this season that Chardstock have not been beaten and put’s them in great heart for Saturday’s East Devon derby with Yarcombe.
