Charmouth Bowls Club looking to recruit new members

With summer just around the corner it’s time to get out and enjoy the fresh air, a bit of leisurely exercise and the opportunity to meet new friends.

Charmouth Bowls Club members are hoping all of the above will encourage potential joiners to have a look around during their open day this weekend.

With falling membership numbers in recent years the club is badly in need of some new blood and hopes that this season will bring in the much-needed new members.

They are keen to encourage local families and friends to join in and to play a part in this worthwhile activity. They also welcome seasonal visitors, who wish to participate in our village life. The open day is to be held at 2pm on Sunday at the Bowls Club in the Barr’s Lane Recreation Ground.

Bowls equipment will be provided by the club as will free tuition – if needed – and refreshments.
