The BBC Children In Need appeal was once again a great success, but you could help it even more and keep fit at the same time. Next Sunday, Nov 23, at 10.30am there are two races starting at the Peace Memorial Playing Fields in Colyton (on Colyford road). For the more athletic there is the Colyton Fiver, which is a 5 mile two lap route, all on road. If that does not appeal, then how about a two and a half mile fun run (or fun walk) which is one lap of the course? Entry forms for the five mile event can be downloaded from the AVR web site - www.axevalleyrunners.org.uk, or enter on the day at £10 per person. Entry for the fun run is only available on the day at £3 per person so please get to the playing fields by 10.10am for registration. Over 100 spot prizes have been donated by the traders of Colyton, Winner Print Ltd and Saucony. There are no prize awards as such but the first male and female in the Colyton Fiver and the first junior male and female in the fun run will each receive a Pudsey Bear. It will be the 22nd race that AVR have promoted in aid of the CIN Appeal, but the first ever Colyton Fiver.
