In the Lyme Regis September medal there was a brilliant two-under, gross 69 from Tom Glover that saw him win Division One, writes Richard Jackman.
In Glovers round was a dazzling back 9 that saw him fire four birdies and an eagle.
It all meant a single shot win over Gareth Williams (net 69) who just pipped David Riches on countback.
Division Two was won by the ever improving Mark Lewis with a net 69, with the intrepid Neil Smith a shot behind in second and Merv Knight, with a net 71, third.
Richard Jackman won the seniors’ Gordon Putter competition with a net 65, but the headlines went to Roger Clarke who came second with 67 which included a hole-in-one on the third hole.
Jim Kerr edged out the rest to come third on countback with a net 70. In the midweek stableford a romping front 9 saw Colin Baker take the honours with 36 points. George Seed, 35 points, edged out Kevin Payne on countback in the battle for the runners-up berth.
The junior medal saw the first three all score a net one over par 72, but, on countback the order was Ben Prosser, David Lyon and Jonathan Day.
