Clarke wins silver division at Honiton

Overnight rain meant heavy conditions for early starters in Honiton ladies’ section Wednesday Medal Competition, writes Andy Wagner.

However, some good scores were still made by the winners in all three divisions.

In the silver division Heather Clarke scored a nett 72.

Second place with a nett 75, went to Mona Carter and Diana Gee took third with a score of nett 76.

The bronze division one winner was Janet Hughes, again with nett 72 with Maris Dart second with a nett 77.

Third and fourth places went to Jan Dickinson and Chris Luttman, both scoring a nett 78 with the former edging ahead on count back.

In bronze division two it was Sally Chapman who took the honours with an exceptional score of nett 71 to win ahead of Susan Hyde with nett 84.
