Close, but Honiton deserve victory

Honiton's play was fast and furious and Tipton could not match the pace of front man Tim Genders, who was brought down in the penalty box for what was a clear decision for the referee. Sam Farmer converted with ease.
Straight from the re-start, Honiton were again in the faces of Tipton and, shortly after, were two goals to the good. Mike Foster claimed the second with a shot just inside the box.

The start of the second half was different, as Tipton made some changes, and within a minute were a goal better off.

Tipton were level within 10 minutes of the re-start. Honiton were also a man down as a result of extreme protests by many Honiton players to the referee for allowing the goal to stand after the goalkeeper was clearly fouled in his six yard box! Dave Woodman was the man to walk.
Ayres re-arranged his team for what was going to be a very difficult 35 minutes. But 10 minutes later, Honiton hit Tipton with a classic counter attack with Dan Broom finishing off a fantastic move to put Town back in front. The final 20 minutes were difficult for both managers on the touchline, as Tipton also had a man sent off for headbutting a Honiton player. Down to 10 aside. Honiton's job became a little easier
Town deserved all three points.
