Colyton return to the top of the East Devon Short Mat Bowls League

PUBLISHED: 16:48 05 March 2013

Colyton’s 5-3 home win takes them back to the top of the East Devon Short Mat Bowls Evening league with one home game to play.

Which team ends the season in this place will depend on three games to be played at Sidbury.

The afternoon division 1 is so balanced that two 5-3 wins take Upottery and St Teresa’s up four places and they are now second and third respectively.

In the second division no change in the top three places with Seaton Cliff A and Sidford sharing the points at Sidford. 6-2 wins for Lyme Regis gained them a place to fourth while Seaton Cliff D narrowed the gap behind Hemyock..

in division 3 congratulations to Chard’s B team whose 7-1 win ensured them the top place in that division.

Colyton B recorded the same score and narrowed the gap to just one point.
