Colyton Grammar School tasted success in the East Devon X-Country Championships at Bicton Arena.

Colyton Grammar School tasted success in the East Devon X-Country Championships at Bicton Arena, the first round of the national competition. Molly Coleman won the Junior Girls' race, Naomi Speake won the Intermediate Girls' race, Emily Bliss won the Senior Girls', Ben Ward won the Junior Boys' and Adam Speake won the Intermediate Boys'. The races saw athletes from all the other East Devon Schools including Axe Valley, Sidmouth, Honiton, Exmouth, Cullompton, Uffculme and The King's School, with up to 127 runners in each, the top eight counting towards the team position.In the team events Colyton Senior girls came first, Colyton Year 7 girls came second, Colyton Intermediate girls came second, Colyton Junior girls came third and Colyton Senior boys came second. The top 16 runners in each race also qualify for the next round of the national competition at Blundell's on Wednesday, Dec 3.
