Honiton third team were 7-3 winners when they visited Acland Park for an East Devon derby with Feniton third team.
The Hippo’s made a blistering start and roared into a 3-0 lead only for them to then take their foot off the pedal, and be sloppy enough in their general play, to allow the home side to hit back with two goals!
In a game of end-toe-end action the goals continued to arrive at regular intervals with Town deserving their victory by full-time.
Stand-in team boss for the day Karl Allen said: “The whole team played well against a good Feniton side. It took a while to finally put them to bed, but we eventually won with something to spare. The referee was outstanding and handled a local derby in terrific manner. I was delighted with the contribution of hat-trick scoring Kieran Conway.”
