Axminster say goodbye to the B Division

Axminster said goodbye to the B Division in successful fashion.

The Cloakham Lawns side bagged only their second victory of a disappointing campaign when they beat Dartington and Totnes, who are going down with them, by 10 runs.

Nick Taylor hit 31 and there were 45 extra’s in the Axminster total of 136.

Taylor then claimed 5-62 and Matt Pyle took 3-27 as the South Devon side were bowled out for 126.

Matt Perry hit 47 in an Axminster II total of 154 at Countess Wear II.

The Exeter side were then bowled out for 128 with Sam Farrow (4-19) and Perry (3-11) the principle wicket takers.
