Feniton were crushed by 10 wickets when they hosted Ottery St Mary in a C Division East game.

Feniton skipper Jon Pyle won the toss and opted to bat first, but then saw his side bowled out inside 35 overs for just 119!

Mark Salter, batting at number four, top scored with 26 and the best of the rest was the 19 struck by skipper Pyle, batting at number seven.

The only other home batsmen into double figures were opener Graham Tucker (16), his son jack, with 11 from the number eight berth, and number five bat Alex Frankpitt, who hit 15.

Henry Muter did the damage with the ball, returning the splendid figures of 3-8 from 3.5 overs. There were two wickets each for Jack Malden (2-11 from three overs), skipper Will Harrison (2-23 from seven) and Oliver West (2-34 from seven) and the other wicket was claimed by Jody Clements (1-29 from nine).

The Otters made light work of the run chase, using just 22 overs to score at a run-a-ball to seal a 10 wicket win.

Oliver West hit an unbeaten 84 from just 72 deliveries, hitting 123 fours and Alex Clements scored his 31 from 53 deliveries, hitting four fours.

On Saturday, Ottery, who sit second behind currently all-conquering Sidmouth 2nds, get the chance to become the first side to defeat the Fortfield men when they visit Ottery while Feniton make the short trip to Whimple.
