Feniton II were worthy winners in their East Devon derby with Whimple at Acland Park.

Connor Toogood (80), Toby Devine (42) and Stuart Bright (39) combined to see the hosts to an imposing 267-5. Adrian Whitton claimed 2-50 for the visiting side.

Fifteen-year-old Matt Cann then stole the limelight with the ball taking a hat-trick as he claimed four wickets in five deliveries to finish with the magnificent figures of 4-1 as Whimple were bowled out for 190 with Steve Palfrey (74) and Grant Northover (42), the principle scorers.

On Saturday Whimple hosts a North Devon III team who have been unable to raise an eleven for the last two weeks. Feniton are again at home when they entertain Countess Wear II.
